I'm a Web Expert?! And nobody Told Me?!
I can't believe I've been a Web Expert all this time and nobody even thought to tell me.
Yesterday, after finally getting the RSS 2.0 feed more-or-less finished, I thought I'd finish the geekish portion of my day by sticking my name in Google and seeing what it spat back out at me. To my surprise, I found I am a Web Expert
. I wish I'd have known last week when I started making my RSS 2.0 feed generator. I could have done with some advice from an expert on some of my SQL and XSLT problems.
It's always nice to be appreciated, but I think Nomensa.com declaring that I'm a Web Expert
is perhaps a bit of an overstatement. Personally, I think calling anyone an expert in anything is almost always an overstatement: there's always more to learn, especially when it comes to web technologies.
On a considerably more conservative note, however, I did find links to both of my articles I've written for Jupiter Media on the W3C's Articles of 2007 page. It's only two links pointing to copies of my articles on HTMLGoodies.com, buried amongst loads of links to many other articles from many other authors, but it's still nice to know someone read them and actually thought to recommend them to the W3C for listing. As I often say, something's better than nothing
.
